You have the right to appeal under the following reasons:
The Planning Inspectorate, an independent Government body, deals with all appeals. It will assess both sides of an appeal, the appellant and that of the LPA and make a decision based on planning grounds.
There may be different types of procedure available to you depending on the type of appeal you’re submitting.
Timescales and procedure for the submission and decision of an appeal varies dependent upon the nature of the initial planning application. If your application has been refused, this information accompanied with guidance on how you can appeal, will be included with your decision notice. Further guidance on how to submit your planning appeal can be found on the Planning Inspectorate's website.
If you are a neighbour or another interested party, you can make a comment on current planning appeals. The Planning Portal has guidance on how you can comment on an appeal.
