Severe Weather Emergency Protocol

We take a responsive approach to reports of rough sleeping in Eastleigh Borough. Working with our homeless outreach service, Two Saints, we take every opportunity to engage with rough sleepers to assess the cause of their homelessness, address their needs and support them to relieve their homelessness.

During periods of severe weather, rough sleepers are at increased risk of harm and potentially death. To alleviate risks to rough sleepers in the event of severe weather, we take appropriate action by way of the provision of shelter in accordance with our Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP).
