Fleming Park outdoor paddling pool to remain closed
The outdoor paddling pool in Fleming Park, Eastleigh will remain closed for the rest of the summer due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Chair of Eastleigh Local Area Committee Cllr Paul Bicknell said, “Eastleigh Borough Council and Places Leisure Eastleigh can confirm that Fleming Park outdoor paddling pool will not be opened this summer due to COVID 19 social distancing restrictions. We continue to be committed to protecting the safety of all our residents and ensuring that social distancing is maintained. It has been a difficult decision but public safety is the most important part of this. Social distancing would be extremely difficult to enforce as the outdoor paddling pool is just so popular."
He added, "We know many residents will be very disappointed but we hope you understand the reasons for this decision and we look forward to welcoming you back to the paddling pool next year.”
