Traineeship Programmes
Traineeship programmes to help young people in the Borough kick start their career
Traineeship Plus is a county wide, 18 week programme, to help
prepare young people for the world of work by improving their chances of securing
an apprenticeship, job or a place at college. It will provide a high-quality
work placement alongside the opportunity to achieve qualifications in
English, Maths and employability.
Trainees on the programme will receive support in English and Maths as these subjects are considered a fundamental part of the Traineeship Plus programme to help young people starting their careers.
A bursary is paid during the Traineeship work placement, subject to
programme criteria.
Entry Criteria:
- 16 – 24 years
- Achieved a minimum grade 3/D GCSE in English or maths (non –
GCSE qualifications will be considered on an individual basis) - Motivation to learn and develop skills to support progression into
an apprenticeship, employment, further training or education.
