Information on new affordable housing in Eastleigh Borough
To meet our objective of finding homes for people on the housing register, and for those looking for affordable housing, we use the planning process to secure affordable housing on qualifying sites in accordance with our policies.
New developments in our Borough include a variety of different types of housing, meeting a range of needs, and some are built to wheelchair- accessible standards.
Rented properties are advertised on Hampshire Homechoice and shared ownership properties are advertised by the housing associations directly.

Selection of developments under way and delivering affordable homes
Boorley Park, Boorley Green, Botley
This scheme is being developed by three developers Bloor/Bovis and Linden Homes. The affordable homes for rent and shared ownership were phased throughout the whole development. The final affordable homes with Aster are due to complete by Spring 2025.
Boorley Gateway, Boorley Green, Botley
Abri in partnership with Vistry will be delivering homes for rent and shared ownership on this part of the Boorley Park development. The development is underway and the first homes completed Summer 2024 . Completions will be phased and all the homes are expected to be built by early 2025.
Stoneham, Eastleigh
Developers: Highwood Group and Bargate Homes in conjunction with VIVID, providing affordable homes for rent and shared ownership. The final phase is under construction and the affordable homes will be completed on a phased basis over the next few years up until winter 2026.
Boorley Gardens, Boorley Green, Botley
Developers: Miller Homes and Bellway are developing this scheme. The affordable homes will be for rent and shared ownership and will be phased throughout the whole development. Currently Vivid have affordable homes due to be delivered on a phased basis with some homes already completed and more to follow over the coming months and years.
Treetops, Allington Lane
Developer: Vistry in conjunction with Abri are providing homes for rent and shared ownership. The development has commenced with the homes expected to be built by autumn 2025.
Grange Road Netley
Developer: Elivia Homes in conjunction with Vivid are providing homes for rent and shared ownership. The first homes completed this summer with further completions due through to spring / summer 2025.
Providence Hill Bursledon
Developer: Foreman Homes in conjunction with Vivid are providing homes for rent and shared ownership. The development is underway with the first homes due in the coming months through to winter 2025.
Queens View Netley
Eastleigh Borough Council is seeking to deliver 18 flats for social rent with grant support from Homes England. The flats are a mix of 1 and 2 bedroom homes with a ground floor retail unit as part of the development. The development is due to complete by Autumn 2026. Further details.
Selection of recently completed developments
Former Post Office High Street Eastleigh
Eastleigh Borough Council completed the regeneration of the former Post Office and sorting office in Eastleigh to provide some commercial space on the ground floor with flats above. There were 10 affordable flats for rent, and these completed in November 2024.
Land off Botley Road, West End - Phase 1 and Phase 2
Developer: Foreman Homes working with VIVID provided 50 affordable homes for rent and shared ownership in Phase 1. The final homes on this phase completed autumn 2023.
The second phase of the development provided a further 30 affordable homes for rent and shared ownership. The homes completed spring 2025
Hamblewood, Heath House Lane, Hedge End
Developer: Bargate Homes in conjunction with Vivid provided homes for rent and shared ownership. The homes were phased across the development with the final homes completing winter 2024.
