Borough theatres becoming comedy hotspots
The Point Eastleigh and The Berry Theatre in Hedge End are emerging as two of the area's comedy hotspots with stand-up gigs selling out quickly.
Recent performances by top comics Chris McCausland and Simon Brodkin were snapped up - and Gary Delaney's appearance later this month sold out in record time; if you want to see Ed Byrne at The Point in December, you'll have to move fast - only a handful of tickets are left.
But fans of top-notch stand-up shouldn't despair: there are laughs aplenty at The Berry Theatre with the regular Comedy Network evening of stand-up from up-and-coming stars. This Friday's show (5 May) features highly rated Ania Magliano, Matt Hutchinson and MC Isabelle Farah.
The jokes don’t end there, as the theatre hosts a line-up of more established comics, including Ahir Shah and Sara Barron trying out fresh new material ahead of their summer trip north in Edinburgh Comedy Warm-ups.
