Council marks anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine

Deputy Mayor Cllr Nick Couldrey will lead a minute’s silence at the War Memorial in Leigh Road Recreation Ground at 11am on Friday 24 February.
The Borough will be standing in solidarity with Ukraine as part of a national minute of silence to show the UK’s solidarity with Ukraine and we will also be flying a Ukrainian flag at full mast.
Anyone is free to attend and you are invited to join the Deputy Mayor to observe this silence.
