The countdown to Christmas in Eastleigh Borough gets under way on Saturday 16 November with the Grand Christmas Lights Switch-on in Eastleigh town centre. The Mayor will be joined by Santa himself to light the festive illuminations which will be followed by a spectacular firework display.
There’s the ever-popular Christmas Grotto at The Point Theatre (pre-booking highly recommended): Father Christmas is making a special trip to Eastleigh – and he can't wait to see you! Join other families as Santa welcomes you with a song and a story, then collect your gift and take your photo with the man in red himself.
Plus: there’s a Christmas market, community stalls, a selection of children's and family rides, Em’s Friendly Farm, live music, food and drink.
And don’t miss the Makers Market at The Point where you can buy unique festive gifts from some of the area’s leading artists and craftspeople.
The festivities start at 11am, culminating in the grand switch-on and fireworks display at 6pm.
Eastleigh’s big Christmas show is Cinderella’s Wellies at The Point, a time-twisting fairy tale adventure that the whole family will love. And look out for Nick Cope's Festive Family Show, A Winter's Tail, Hundred Watt Club: A Christmas Cracker Cabaret, The Rainbow Room Christmas Shindig and The Point Christmas Party.
Meanwhile, at Itchen Valley Country Park there’s a Christmas Market with Funyard Events and festive craft wreath-making workshop.
