Her Majesty the Queen - paying your respects
Paying your respects in in the Borough of Eastleigh
Following the sad passing of Her Majesty the Queen, many of our residents will want to express their condolences to the Royal Family and wish them well during this sad period.
As well as flags being flown at half-mast in the Leigh Road Recreation Ground and our other sites across the Borough, we are also providing a book of condolence at The Point in Eastleigh town centre, alongside those at Parish Council offices across the Borough.
There will also be a national online book of condolence on the Royal website
Our book of condolence will be in the Atrium at the Point and will open from 10am to 5pm on Friday 9 September. Thereafter the book of condolence will be available from 9am – 5pm each day until the day after the funeral. It will be closed on the day of the funeral.
We have selected the iconic bandstand in Eastleigh as a fitting location for people to leave flowers and messages as they pay their own tributes to Queen Elizabeth II.
Information on further arrangements will be provided in the coming days.
