Hundreds of local kids got moving this Easter
The Eastleigh Active programme of sports and activity sessions saw over 230 children and young people get active this Easter Holidays. There’s an even bigger programme being planned for the school summer holidays.
Eastleigh Borough Council’s programme ran Wednesdays to Fridays across the two Easter holiday weeks for five-16-year-olds. It included 54 sessions to choose from, which included free swimming sessions across the Borough.
Activity sessions for Golf, Nerf and Tennis again proved popular, and all sessions went ahead supported by stable weather conditions! Kids were able to try something new and make new friends in the fun and welcoming activities.

The Council’s SportWorks team would like to thank the broad range of partners including sports clubs, activity providers and venues, for their support and enthusiasm for the Eastleigh Active programme.
It is funded by the Council’s Health & Wellbeing team, as well as the Local Area Committees, Parish and Town Councils. This has enabled activities to be either free or subsidised at £3.50 per session, and only £1 for families on Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support.
