Man Commuting To Work On A Bicycle

Local residents are being urged to have their say as part of a market research project about a proposed new Eastleigh Mobility Hub as part of the Transforming Cities Fund (TCF) being run by Hampshire County Council.

The aim of the proposed Eastleigh Mobility Hub is to provide a facility which has a focus on encouraging the use of active and sustainable transport. A mobility hub offers a combination of cycle hire/cargo bikes, e-car club vehicles and e-scooters in addition to high quality cycle parking and access to public transport services for the local urban community.

The proposed scheme would be located near to the bus and rail station and to be served by walking and cycling routes, it aims to serve the nearby residential and areas and the town centre and make switching between transport modes easy, uncomplicated and straight forward.  If completed it will be the first mobility hub in Hampshire.
