New parking system at Itchen Valley Country Park
A new and easier parking system is now in place at Itchen Valley Country Park
The new system is part of the ongoing regeneration and improvements at the park. Whilst maintaining parking charges at their current level, our new system allows visitors to access the country park by driving through entry barriers. Visitors can then enjoy the many facilities at the park and can pay for their parking stay at one of the pay stations, that will enable them to leave through the exit barriers.
The benefits of this system is that visitors will only pay for their time in the park rather than running the risk of losing paid-for parking time, or even receiving a Penalty Charge Notice for overstaying on their Pay & Display ticket.
The new system will allow for payment via cash and debit/credit cards, with the potential for parking offers, season tickets and reduced tariffs for special events.
Advice for RingGo season ticket holders at Itchen Valley Country Park (IVCP)
RingGo season tickets are no longer available to buy, however, previously purchased RingGo season tickets are honoured in the new system. They have been automatically transferred to the new barrier system meaning the automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras will identify a previously registered vehicle and raise the entry/exit barrier automatically
Advice to any users that have difficulty using their previously purchased RingGo season tickets is to email [email protected]
New season tickets can now be purchased at the Pay Stations located in the car parks at IVCP with payment options of coin, notes, and debit/credit cards.
