Inspector’s Report and Adoption
Information following the end of the Local Plan examination
On 14 March 2022, the Council received the Inspector’s Final Report on the Examination of the Eastleigh Borough Local Plan 2016-2036.
The Inspector's Report concludes that with the recommended main modifications, the Eastleigh Borough Local Plan 2016-2036 is sound, legally compliant and capable of adoption. There are only small changes from the Main Modifications published for consultation in June 2021.

What happens next?
The conclusions of the Inspector’s report means that the Local Plan can go forward with a recommendation to adopt the Plan at a Full Council meeting on Monday 25 April 2022.
