Passport to Leisure
Concessionary scheme at Places Leisure Eastleigh
This concessionary scheme is for borough residents who are unemployed, on a low income, over 60, full time students, people with physical, learning or sensory impairments or members of the armed forces including in-service and ex-service personnel, their families and widow(er)s.
What are the benefits?
You can use some facilities at approximately half the price of the normal adult charge (unless otherwise stated).
If you have a physical, learning or sensory impairment and require assistance to use the facilities, you are entitled to bring a carer with you free of charge.
Do I qualify?
To qualify for a Passport to Leisure, you must meet one of the following criteria and be able to provide the proof required:
Unemployed - Named Job Seekers Allowance literature, Employment Support Allowance (ESA) or Universal Credit.
Living on a low income - Proof of receipt of Income Support or Universal Credit.
Physical, learning or sensory impairment - Named Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payment (PIP) literature.
Full time students (16 years or over) - Student card/letter from school. Students with a valid NUS card do not need a separate Passport to Leisure card.
Over 60's - Proof of age (birth certificate, passport, bus pass etc).
Armed forces - Military ID card, letter from service.

What activities are available?
Swimming, sauna and steam - available anytime during public sessions (fun sessions excluded).
Squash, badminton and table tennis - available Monday to Friday up to 5pm. Facilities can be booked from 7am on the day of play and payment must be made at time of booking. Equipment hire is available - please enquire when booking. No refunds or exchanges.
Exercise classes - available Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm (Fit & Mix and Forever Active mornings excluded).
Gym - Monday to Friday, 6.30am-5pm (last entry 4pm). A gym induction must be booked and paid for before using the gym for the first time.
Bowling green - Monday to Friday, 9am-1pm. Pay and play on the artificial green. Equipment hire is available - please enquire when booking.
A valid Passport to Leisure card must be produced at reception before starting your activity.
How much does it cost?
The Passport to Leisure is provided free of charge. The scheme is not applicable to children under 16 years as junior prices are already discounted.
How long is a card valid for?
- If you are aged over 60 or are a member of the armed forces the card does not expire.
- Six months if you are unemployed or living on a low income.
- Twelve months if you are a full-time student or have a physical, learning or sensory impairment.
How do I apply?
1. Complete an application form.
2. Ensure you have the correct proof of eligibility and photo ID.
3. Take the application form and documents to the reception desk at Places Leisure Eastleigh.
