The Local Government Transparency Code 2015 requires authorities to publish details of employees whose remuneration was at least £50,000.

The Council already publishes this information as part of its Annual Financial Report - Statement of Accounts - Eastleigh Borough Council

The most recent details relating to officers' remunerations is on pages 74, 75, and 76 of the statement of accounts 2023-2024.

Pay Policy Statement

Section 38 of the Localism Act 2011, requires local authorities to produce a Pay Policy Statement and recommends that the pay multiple is included in these statements as a way of illustrating the authority's approach to pay dispersion.


The Pay Policy Statement sets out the principles and rules by which we remunerate senior staff at the Council and is approved by Council.

Publish the following information:

  • total number (absolute number and full time equivalent) of staff who are union representatives (including general, learning and health and safety reps)
  • total number (absolute number and full time equivalent) of union rep who devote at least 50 per cent of their time to union duties
  • names of all trade unions represented in the local authority
  • a basic estimate of spending on unions as a percentage of the total pay bill (calculated as the number of full time equivalent days spent on union activities multiplied by the average salary divided by the total pay bill).
