Site Licence
Privately owned sites must hold a licence from the Local Council. Sites owned by the Local Council do not have to be licensed but should operate to similar standards. The park owner must clearly display the licence and it will usually have conditions attached to the licence which will cover among other things:
- how many homes can be on the site
- services and amenities
- health and safety.
A site licence will only be issued where the site owner has the right to the land and has appropriate planning permission.
It is important to find out if the site owner’s right to the land or planning permission is time limited as this can affect the right you have under your agreement.
Please note that you could be forced to leave if you live on a site without planning permission for residential use or that is operating without a licence.
