Consultation on Main Modifications

Introduction

Following the Hearing Sessions into the Eastleigh Borough Local Plan, the Planning Inspector has identified a number of Main Modifications to the Local Plan (Proposed Submission plan) 2016-2036. These are changes that she considers are required to make the Plan sound in the light of issues identified during the examination. This is without prejudice to the Inspector’s ultimate conclusions and recommendations on the Plan.

The Council consulted on the following documents from 9 June to 21 July 2021:

• Modifications to the Policy Map

  2. Map book 1 (PM1 and PM2)
  3. Map book 2 (PM3)
  4. Map book 3 (PM4-PM8 and PM15)
  5. Map book 4 (PM6, PM9-PM20)
  6. Map book 5 (PM21-PM34 and PM36-PM37)
  7. Map book 6 (PM35)

• Habitats Regulation Assessment Local Plan Main Modifications 

The documents are also available to view at local libraries, together with Parish/Town Council offices and at Eastleigh House. Please note that there are currently restrictions on opening times and the availability of printed documents due to coronavirus. The Statement of Representations Procedures includes the latest information on where and when documents are available to view.

Examination Documents

The Inspector also invited comments on a number of Examination Documents submitted by the Council to the examination. 

Additional Modifications

In addition to the Main Modifications documents, the Council is publishing a Schedule of Additional Modifications to the Local Plan. These are minor changes not required to make the plan sound and include updates, changes for consistency and clarity and corrections. Any comments received on these additional modifications will be considered by the Council.
