Volunteering
Connect, learn and make a difference
The Council’s Health & Wellbeing team invite residents in the Borough to connect, learn and make a difference. They have brought together and are expanding volunteering opportunities managed by Council teams, making it easier to find and take part in regular, flexible and adhoc activities.
If you are looking to help maintain outdoor habitats, supporting those in need or even helping people get active, simply sign up to the distribution list and check out the opportunities below.
Love the 'showtime' and creative atmosphere of live performances? Why not join the friendly team at the theatres and become a Volunteer Usher.
If you love wildlife and being outdoors, join our tree planting, Country Parks and Countryside teams - we have volunteering opportunities for you to improve outside spaces and habitats...
Do you love art and exploring big ideas? Do you like talking to and meeting people? Want to find out more about supporting art projects in the community? Our volunteer Art Events Assistant could be the role for you.
We run an email list to advertise new local and adhoc volunteering activities and share the great things volunteers are doing to improve habitats, safety, other people's lives and more...
