Keeping Black Bins
If you have more black bins than allocated, you will receive a letter asking for evidence to justify the extra bins.
If you believe you are eligible to keep the additional bin, use the form below to request permission.
If you do not provide evidence within 20 working days, the additional bin will no longer be emptied and will be collected.
If you do not need the additional black bin or do not have the right evidence to keep it, please use our surplus bin form below to arrange an earlier collection.
Excess bins
Excess bins can occur for the following reasons:
- You have moved into a property with too many bins
- There are fewer people living in the property
- Bins have been left in locations away from properties
- Bins are stray
