We want to hear from you
We would love to especially hear from cycling beginners.
A Community Engagement Officer for cycling, Ray, has been appointed to deliver cycle training and events across the Borough. He is already engaging with community groups to see what their needs are and now would love residents to provide feedback.
Activities can include bike maintenance courses, road cycle skills, family rides, Cycling meetups and free servicing. we would love to hear from residents so we can shape the summer programme onwards as soon as possible.
The short survey is anonymous, unless you would like to sign up to CycleTogether Eastleigh email updates. Questions range from your biking ability, which activities you think you and your family would benefit from, access to equipment, and when and where works best.
The Borough cycle map is also getting a facelift and a consultation will start soon with community stakeholders to revise and update the map, followed by a wider residents consultation, which Ray will also support with direct engagement at local events and groups. The aim is to have a brand new digital map (printable options available) online in early 2025.
The project is funded through the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
