The Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman (LGSCO) is appointed to investigate complaints against local authorities and is independent of all government departments, councils and politicians. If you are not satisfied with our response to your complaint, or if we have not dealt with it in a timely manner, you may refer your complaint to the LGSCO.

The LGSCO will not investigate your complaint unless we have already had a reasonable opportunity to look into it, so please follow our complaints procedure before referring your complaint to the LGSCO.
