Mental health and homelessness
As detailed in our Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2019–2024, a high percentage of homeless people in England reported experiencing mental health problems, with many of these being diagnosed with mental health conditions. Mental health problems are also a common factor for those living in unsuitable housing.
If you have a mental health condition and you are homeless, or you feel that your current accommodation is not meeting your needs, or you would like additional support to help you to manage in your home, we may be able to help you.
The Together charity
Together is a support organisation providing housing and/or support to people with mental health needs. The service offers both intensive and lower level supported housing to meet the varying needs of their service users. They also offer a community based support service for people in the community requiring support around their mental health needs.
