Raise Council Tax enquiries
We aim to resolve all enquiries within 25 working days, some complex cases may take longer.
Our staff are working very hard to keep turnaround times as short as possible, however, due to the high volumes of enquiries our process times may be longer than usual. We appreciate your patience while we work as quickly as we can to action your request.
If you have already sent an email or completed a web form, please be assured that your request will be actioned as soon as possible.
There are many self-serve options that can be found on our website e.g. to make a payment, check balances and request a payment arrangement, or apply for a discount or exemption. If you are on benefits or a low income you may be eligible for Council Tax Support.
You must include your account or claim reference number (if you have one) in any correspondence.
Personal budgeting and assisted digital support
Universal Credit needs to be claimed for and administered online. If you need support to complete an application or are in receipt of Universal Credit and having difficulty managing your money, please contact Citizens Advice
